2011.8.24 – Ketchikan, Alaska

Ketchikan is the port of call today. It’s known as the “Salmon Capital of the World.” Fishing and tourism makes up a majority of its economy.

Now back to my bun. I had one for breakfast.

I shared it with mommy too.

In return she shared her ice cream with me.

After eating it was time to see what the city has to offer.

At the Ketchikan creek there were lots of fish in the water. Some were jumping out of the water.

After we got back onto the ship, I had a little time to get my exercise in. I decided to do some running.

It was getting late, so it was dinner time.

Hey they’re serving the buns now!

I must applaud the bun arrival.

Don’t you like buns too?

At the end of the day there was a small party in the ship’s theater. Lots of balloons…lots of old people.

2011.8.23 – Haines, Alaska

Haines is a very small city. I think they only have 2,400 people living there. There wasn’t much to do there, but the small town feel was nice.

It was chilly, but I was well protected in my jacket and stroller. I also had a nice soft bun with me.

A lot of the houses had big lots. It would be nicer if it was warmer so I can run around on the grass.

With all that strolling around I had to take a nap. Notice I still have my bun with me.

We left Haines fairly early in the day. I wouldn’t have mind staying a little longer there.

Since it was still early in the day, I decided to get some more exercise running on Deck 7.

For dinner tonight I am back to the breadsticks.

And of course, I applaud when others are having their celebrations.

2011.8.22 – Glacier Bay

Glacier Bay is very scenic. It was cold outside, but worth getting out to get some fresh Alaskan air.

Even though the glaciers were a nice site, I still had my iPad to play with.

And then I took a picture with my mommy and daddy. I like glaciers.

After all that glacier sightseeing, I had lots of energy, so I decided to run around in the lounge.

For dinner, I passed on the breadsticks today and settled for a soft bun.

I also had spaghetti.

And then I decided to have some fun. I made funny faces at the dinner table.

2011.8.21 – Juneau, Alaska

Today is the first port of call on this cruise, and we visit Juneau, Alaska. The weather wasn’t cold, but it was overcast, and drizzly. But first, I had breakfast.

We didn’t get to the port city until the afternoon, so I had plenty of time to wander around the ship. I saw my grandma, and took a picture with her.

I also had time to ride my favorite ride on the ship again, the elevator.

Since the ship didn’t have a berth available at the pier, we had tenders taking us back and forth. This caused major delays in getting off the ship and onto Juneau. We had to get tickets and wait for our number to be called before heading down to the tenders. The wait was so long I decided to take a nap.

My stroller was well protected from the rain as you can see here. Of course I was nice, warm, and dry inside.

I didn’t find much of the items for sale interesting.

It was a good day visiting Juneau. Visited a lot of stores and saw many people. But it was getting late and time for dinner. I’m sure lots of good food will be served, but I must start with my usual…breadstick.

I also realized the glasses of water were very cold. I felt it with the back of my hand.

After dinner I rode my elevator again.

And finally, before bedtime, I decided to burn off the remaining energy I had.

2011.8.20 – Another Day at Sea

Today was another day at sea as we head towards Juneau, Alaska. As usual I had breakfast first, upstairs in the Horizon Court. It was fun in the morning.

Then for exercise we walked around the lower deck of the ship. The deck goes all the way around the ship.

The water was very rough today though, and I got sea sick. I lost my appetite for dinner. Not even the breadstick on my plate was deserving of my attention.

2011.8.19 – Day at Sea

It’s a full day at sea today, which means nobody gets on, nobody gets off. Nothing but water is in our view. So what do I do? I start running!

Breakfast was upstairs in their Horizon Court. It was on deck 14. I had oatmeal, yogurt, and eggs.

After breakfast I got more exercise.

My favorite ride on the ship was the elevator. It was fun going up and down in it, especially the elevator with the glass window.

For lunch, I had pizza. It wasn’t the usual grab your pizza and sit to eat, but rather it was a cafe where they seat you, you order your pizza, and they serve it to you. While waiting for my pizza, I had fun playing with the straw wrapper.

After lunch I visited my grandparents upstairs having their lunch. I also made friends with others sitting close by.

With so much activity so far, I had to take a nap. I brought my doggie with me to sleep.

Tonight was the first formal night on the ship. I had on a nice little shirt, tie, and slacks. I also had on my nice shoes too. I don’t know how my right shoe came off though.

Again I had my bread sticks. I wanted to share mine with everyone though.

Even though I was already finished with my dinner, I still wanted to show everyone how to properly use a spoon to eat.

I took one more picture before going to sleep.

2011.8.18 – First day on the ship

This is my first cruise, aboard the Sea Princess. It’s a 10-day round-trip from San Francisco to Alaska. The ship is relatively small by today’s standards, but it was big for me.

First thing to do, of course, is eat lunch.

The sandwich was good, and it fit nicely in my hands. After lunch, it was time to explore the ship. There were a lot of lounge areas, and most of the ship was nicely decorated. Here I am with mommy and some nice looking flowers.

The first floor of the atrium had a nice water fountain. The water level was low though, so as not to splash out when the water’s a little rough.

I then went outside under the sun. It was sunny but a bit windy.

I had my sweater and hood on. I was walking around with my grandma. Can you see me waving at the camera?

Here’s another angle of the pool. I didn’t go swimming though, as it wasn’t quite warm enough for me.

I also noticed my uncle on the pier taking pictures of us.

Now it was time to sail away, exiting San Francisco Bay under the Golden Gate Bridge.

We had an early dinner seating, 5:15pm. But it was nice to eat early and have time to play afterwards before sleep time. Nevertheless I still got some exercise in before eating.

During dinner, I had lots of food, but I enjoyed their bread sticks a lot.

Dinner time was usually fun.

I had a little exercise running back to the room after dinner.

I wanted to sleep on the top bunk, but my mom was already there. I guess I’ll have to sleep in that crib in the corner instead.

2011.8.17 – Packing for my Cruise

Luckily for me, I don’t have to pack much, and all my clothes are small. They all fit easily in a small bag.

2011.8.14 – New Water Pistol

I got a new water pistol today. It’s bright orange and squirts water far.

I decided to “water” the plants with the pistol. I aimed right at the leaves.

But then I had a little fun. I decided to point the pistol upwards to shoot the water into the air.

2011.8.13 – Cousin’s Birthday at Chuck E. Cheese

It was my cousin’s birthday, and the party was held at Chuck E. Cheese. It’s a place for food and games. Before I played games, I ate. I had a small slice of pizza.

I’ve had better pizza.

Once I was done eating, I walked around to look at the games. Some look like fun.

I also walked to the prize counter to see what I can win.

But first, I need to get tokens to ride rides and play games.

I rode a few rides. Here I am riding the little train with Barney. Then I thought I saw the big rat Chuck walking around.

Yeah that is Chuck!

I think he’s like one of those hippies on the side of the road asking for money. He’s walking around with a sign looking for change.

I rode some more rides.

I played a few games, and got some tickets.

I even got a ticket jackpot on one of my games!

I took the tickets to the prize counter and redeemed them.

I was happy with my prizes.

I took a picture with my mom and my prizes.
